Part of an ongoing series, this beer is our latest foray into the hybridization of beer and wine. This lightly tart ale was paired with pressed Red Zinfandel grape juice and aged on organic Indonesian vanilla and toasted American oak recreating the fruit forward dry yet full bodied characteristics of well aged bottle of Red Zinfandel. Pouring a beautiful dark red, this beer has notes of dark cherry and raspberry that pair elegantly with the tannic complexity and hint of sweetness from the oak and vanilla.
